HOUSTON, TX, April 2, 2008 ― ConocoPhillips Company, the fourth largest U.S. lubricants supplier, today announced that Downs Energy in Corona, Calif., has achieved Top Tier Marketer status for exceeding quality, safety and environmental operations standards.  The elite recognition is awarded to a select number of ConocoPhillips Lubricants distributors that have exceeded the company's rigorous Marketer Operations Standards practices, which were created to help protect the product quality of the ConocoPhillips Lubricants brands and improve the efficiency of safety and environmental programs, according to Gary Balzhiser, manager of commercial lubricants.

 

Alternative Fuel Station Set to Break Ground

TEMECULA, CA, March 7, 2008 – Downs Energy, a local petroleum distribution and marketing company headquartered in Corona, CA, announced it will be holding an official "Ground Breaking" ceremony of a Liquefied/Compressed Natural Gas (L/CNG) fueling station located at 27985 Diaz Road in Temecula, CA on Thursday April 3, 2008 at 10:00am.
